HRM analysis relies on reproducible high quality real-time PCR followed by predictable and precise melting of the DNA amplicon. This requires an especially formulated MasterMix. Our Precision HRM MasterMix is a precisely buffered mix containing high quality Taq polymerase as well as all of the other components to ensure a perfect real-time PCR reaction in every experiment. The mix also contains stabilisers and preservatives ensure that multiple freeze thaw cycles do not affect the performance.

Our HRM specific MasterMix kit also contains a saturating fluorescent dye which ensures powerful, reproducible high resolution meting data is achieved with every reaction. In combination with PrimerDesign custom designed HRM assays it is effortless to resolve differences in amplicon melting profiles of a fraction of a degree.

Clear or Blue?
Our Precision HRM MasterMix is available in two formats. Either clear or blue. The clear version is best for use with the Rotorgene 6000 platform. However if you are using a 96 well plate based system such as the Roche 480 then we'd recommend the blue product. The blue product contains an inert blue dye that does not affect the PCR or the HRM analysis. However, is does make pipetting on to a 96 well plate much easier. Its particularly useful when using white plasticware for your experiments.

Precision HRM or Precision raZor mix ?
When using a PrimerDesign raZor probe assay we recomend the use of the Precison raZor mix. For other HRM applications then standard Precision HRM MasterMix will be perfect.
